Fitbodyguru & TampaBayFit
www.fitbodyguru.com/blog is an addition the the parent site, www.fitbodyguru.com. This project was created originally as a project in website development and a dynamic calling card for my fitness training ambitions.
Features include simple video integration, a dynamic fluid theme with rotating featured articles, and a dynamic tag system to build out topics of interest as the site grows. The original static site, www.fitbodyguru.com, is an iWeb (a simple mac program) created for information site that introduces the personal trainer and gives a little bit of credential and information about Scott Edwards, the personal trainer.
The site featured in the screengrab above is a wordpress site, and in wordpress there is a learning curve, but the trade off is a robust array of available options only limited to your imagination and skill.
Plans to move the dynamic WP site as the landing page are in the works. Interested contributors and affiliate products are planned to take residence, and possibly more of a network unique to a geographical location, Tampa Bay, versus a one person static presentation as in the original FitbodyGuru.com website.
It has been a couple of good years, but I am outgrowing that of what the static site can deliver, and as more people are now becoming dependent on mobile devices and ways to use the web, a flexible site is needed.
One of the most compelling innovations to come is the use of an interactive calendar/location map to book personal training sessions and be in touch immediately with a personal trainer, instead of waiting for e mails to be answered and going thru referral services. Of course, at this point, working alone and diverting my time to become a better buisnessperson in photography, nothing is better than the telephone!
It’s not perfect , yet… but it could be the most advanced personal trainer platform in the area.
The recent purchase of “tampaBayFit.net” may be the new place to roll out the interactive platform, linking back to the fitbody blog and the fitbodyguru.com static pages.
There are plans to add the beautiful photography and custom art elements to endorse and help finance the site, produced here at Lucidmojo.
Google ad sense and other forms of mass marketing have always been shunned. The concern is about exposing the users to irrelevant & aggravating barrage of advertising for little or no real value is a problem, and contradicts the idea of providing rich, original and valuable content. With as many great sites out there providing just about any information you can think of, it is important to remain relevant by staying local, first to my clients, second, by keeping the content specified and honoring the trust of the readers and personal clients.
“The few products to appear on the fitbody site are tried, tested and approved items that I have used and I have had my clients use. This way you can trust that I am not marketing them just to earn money.”
And that money is hard to come by, with the entire content of the site, hosting, editing, and every aspect is made from scratch & the money made from personal training, and not any sponsorship or affiliation. I would love to have some help. But the flip side to that is that I can do things my own way, so I do not have to compromise anything.I have began an affiliate relationship with bodybuilding.com and gymboss, two companies I highly respect, but yet have to earn any proceeds from the relationship.
good ideas are coming for fitbodyguru.com. You can visit the site and see for yourself at www.Fitbodyguru.com/blog
